Kern County Honor Flight

The North High Band and Stars Cheerleaders will take part in welcoming home the 42nd Honor Flight veterans and volunteers at our very own football stadium on Thursday, September 16th! The flight is scheduled to land at Meadows Field at 7:01pm and arrive at the stadium within an hour. All family members and community members are urged to arrive by 7:30pm to greet them by bringing American Flags, banners and take a seat on the visitors side of the stadium. Senior Photo Information

Seniors deadline is approaching and to call Steven Studios to set up a FREE session to get your portrait in the yearbook. They also have various packages under $100 to get copies of the portrait of an irreplaceable time in your lives. If you go to the studio, you even get to pick which one you want in the yearbook!

AB 130: Independent Study (Kern Learn Extension) Information

Independent Study (Kern Learn Extension). The parents and/or guardians of all Kern High School District students have the option to enroll their student in in-person instruction or independent study during the 2021–22 school year. For students whose health would be put at risk by in-person instruction (as determined by the parent/guardian), the Kern Learn Extension program is the independent study option for the 2021-2022 school year.

'The Seeds They Grow' PBS Documentary by North Alum

David Gonzales is a North High alum and talented film maker. He graduated in 2016, and went to UC Santa Cruz to study film. His current short film is on PBS and is playing nationally. He was gifted and inspired artist while here at North, and I am proud to watch his talent being recognized.

Kern County Career Awareness Month

The Kern High School District is excited to partner with the Kern County Superintendent of Schools and local businesses for Career Awareness Month for an interactive and virtual experience. It is an opportunity for students, parents, and community members to connect with business leaders, explore career paths, and receive more information about the offered career tech programs.
