North Agriculture Program & North FFA

North Ag Department

Program Description

The agriculture department at North High School started in 1985. Since then, the program has aimed to develop student potential through hands-on experiences that prepare students for success after high school.  Students at North High School can select from pathways in Animal Science, Ag Business and Plant Science and we offer eight courses throughout a student’s high school experience. All freshmen students start with Introduction to Ag, Food and Natural Resources (AFNR) as the foundational course. North FFA members have many opportunities beyond the classroom including monthly chapter meetings, career development events, leadership conferences and industry tours. Through our courses students can earn A-G credit with a focus on career readiness skills that will prepare them for success after high school.
