Welcome to the North High School

Parent & Family Center

 

Dear North High Star Parents –

I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome you personally to the new North High Parent & Family Center website.  My goal as your Parent Center Community Specialist is to keep you updated with events, news, workshops and general information that is happening here on our campus.   There are a number of useful tools I have included to the website to aide you in helping your student, such as:

Our Mission Statement

The mission of North High School is to provide programs and services to allow all students to graduate from high school prepared to succeed in the workplace or at the post-secondary level.

 

Our Parent Center

NHS Parent Center is designed to provide KHSD Parent/Guardians with opportunities for parent education, school leadership, and volunteerism.

Your Parent Center creates collaborative opportunities between teachers, administrators, school personnel, and community members to support students and their families.

The vision is to add and develop services based on our community’s needs. Please let us know how we can continue to meet our parents and community needs.

We are also seeking parent volunteers!

 

Stars Family Computer and Resource Center

The NHS Parent Center is open to ALL parents:

 Mon/Wed from 7:30am-4:00pm. Tue/Thurs. 9am-6pm & Fri 7am-3:30pm.

Please check the school calendar for workshop and events taking place.  Feel free to stop by and take advantage of our computer stations and the many tools available to you in the Parent Center!

  • Computer/Chrome Books, Copier and Internet Access
  • One on One Help in Creating an Email, Accessing ParentVUE, Creating an App on your phone in order to assist parents in being better informed of students grades and attendance
  • Connecting families to community resources
  • Training and information on typing/computer skills and job searches
  • College and financial aid workshops
  • Coffee with a counselor
  • TGIF-The First Friday of Every Month
  • Guest Speakers
  • Parent Library-Coming Soon
